Hollie grew up in, and is still part of a conservative and active military family. She has lived in several states, including Nebraska, Texas, and Florida. Along the way, she learned the value of hard work firsthand, working her way up from the ground floor to successful business ownership as the operator of her own fitness center.
But when it came time to decide where to truly build her life, the choice was clear: she returned home to Iowa to be near family and plant deep roots in the place she loves. Hollie is married to Dave Zajicek, a Major in the Iowa Air National Guard, continuing a lifelong family tradition of service to our country and community.

The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, constitutional freedom. I will stand strong as an absolute firewall against any state or federal overreach that attempts to infringe upon the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Iowa.
To prepare the next generation, our classrooms must return to core academic excellence. I support focusing resources on high-quality fundamentals, critical thinking, and practical skills that prepare students for real-world career paths.
Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a prosperous civil society. I proudly “back the blue” and will work to ensure our police, sheriffs, fire/EMS and all first responders have the necessary funding, training, and legal protections to keep our families safe.
We owe our peace and prosperity to the brave men and women who have defended our nation. I am fully committed to supporting robust veterans’ services, mental health resources, and job transition programs for our service members when they return home.
